Dogs in kennels, especially those in rescue centres, can develop behavioural problems due to stress. These may include repetitive behaviours, aggression, and social issues. Enrichment like off-lead play, training, or fostering can help alleviate stress and improve behaviour.
Training away a problem behaviour can be a long and tedious process that many owners feel they are not able to undertake. This is especially the case if the owner does not have a support network or assistance from the other member of the household.
